NURSERY PICS!! (SORRY IT TOOK FOREVER)
3:21 PM
So, to start off... We started the nursery with a goal to not spend a ton of money but to make it so we could also use the "big" stuff for other babies in the future. Lets just say, we totally accomplished that!! I think a lot of it had to do with us starting early on in the pregnancy so we could take our time and pick up on the best deals.
We decided we wanted to get a new crib so that it lasted through our future kids. This was our biggest purchase. I waited for it to go on sale so we got it for a pretty good deal!
Tyler did an awesome job setting it up!
We then had my mom keep her eye out for a dresser because she loves going to yard sales.
She found this beauty for 5 bucks!
The bottom needed to be glued a bit but it was an easy fix. Tyler painted it an off white color.
Next, we were on a search for a changing table. I wanted something sturdy with drawers. After looking at yard sales and keeping an eye on KSL adds we found this one! for 15 bucks!
Next we wanted to make a Mobile for above the crib. So I went to Roberts when they had everything 50% off and bought supplies for that. This was one of our funnest projects.
Next, Tyler painted a shelf we got from the DI for 2 bucks
Tyler did an awesome job!
My mom bought some of the cute things to go on it at Hobby Lobby!
One of my biggest projects has a been making a rug for the Nursery. I went online and watched some tutorials on how to make a shag rug but, I didn't really find what I was looking for. So, I made up my own way of doing it. I picked out 4 different kinds a fabric and cut them into strips and tied them onto the grid stuff. I'm still working on it but I'm getting really close to being done!
Here's what's done so far
My mom also bought lots of flannel fabric and made me several double sided flannel blankets (aren't shown in the picture). They are going to come in so handy.
The blankets in the crib were given to me at the baby shower. The two bottom ones my mom made (from fabric from that store) and the top one is from Cindy who I use to work with. Beautiful blankets huh! I got so many things at my shower. We are so blessed to have so much support from our friends and family.
(after the shower... kinda crappy pic sorry)
This is the finished product.. (without the bed skirt.. it wasn't done when I took this pic)
My mom got us the mirror! I love it! and also the butterfly and flower wall decor.
My mom also got us the boxes! I put her hats in one and her bows in the other and the basket was given to me by Keltsy! Love them!

I couldn't find any crib sets that I liked that were a reasonably priced. So, with MUCH help from my mom and Michelle, I made my own. I picked out the fabric from a store in Logan that my Aunt Patty told us about. Every 3rd Saturday of the month everything is an addition % off. We made a thicker "comforter" type topper and then pillows and a bed skirt!
I turned out awesome.

So there you have it! I loved how it turned out! Now, I just need to finish the shag rug and it will be complete!

Getting closer!! haha
3:37 PM
So, I had another Doctors appointment. I'm 3 and 80%! so yes, I'm making progress but she's still not here. We can't wait to hold her! Bring on the contractions and water breakage! We are ready as ever! Oh and my mom and sister came out and made the crib skirt! So, it's done and looks so cute! That all for today folks. peace

Getting Close!
2:05 PM
Hey guys! just another update after my doctor's appointment yesterday.
I'm now 2 cm/80%/and baby is still all the way down at 0 station.
The doctor wants me to take it easy the next 4 days until Monday when I'll be 36 weeks (as of the Jan 9th due date) just to be safe. But baby is measuring right on and everything looks good! It's getting so close.. she could really come any day now. We are so excited to meet her. Next appointment is a week from today.
35 weeks. I'll keep you updated!

Update!
12:19 AM
So I went back to the dr's to follow up. I'm still a 1 and 75% and was instructed to stay down until I'm 36 weeks to see if we can keep the baby in till that point. So, then I got this weird flu thing over the weekend and as many of you know being sick and being pregnant are not the best combination. But luckily, Tyler hasn't gotten it and I got over it a few days ago. It may be awhile till I eat McDonald's again. I'm feeling much better and that makes it hard to "stay down" when I feel so good! haha So, yesterday I got the itch to get house all clean and do the last bit of deep cleaning before the baby comes. Tyler cleaned everything! and I sat on the bed and folded laundry. He even set up the tree :) We'll set up the rest of the Christmas decorations tomorrow or something. But, it feels so good to get so much done. He's such an awesome husband. Pretty much everything that I needed to get done is done! so, if our baby girl decides to come tomorrow, at least my list is complete. She seems to be in quite the rush to get here but I hope she cooks a little longer to avoid other complications. But, I feel calm that she'll come when she's suppose to come. We are so excited to meet her! I'll update again soon. Next dr's appt is on the 7th.

I've been slacking.. sorry :)
12:13 AM
Hey!
So, there is so much I need to post and haven't done it! I will do it soon :) I want to share all the projects we've been working on for our Baby Girl! The nursery is almost complete :) All the major stuff that really needed to be done before she came is done. It's a good feeling! The things I have left to do are ... make the bed skirt... set up the monitor ... buy a "day nursing bra" (if any of you have any suggestions.. I'll love to hear) ... hook the car seat base into the car ...clean a few things around the house and organize a few drawers in the bathroom. Other than that we're set!
I had my baby shower a few weeks ago! It was so cute and went really well! My mom, mother in-law and sister in-law and sisters are who made it awesome! We had a really good turn out! I was seriously overwhelmed by all the love and support we have from family and friends! It meant a lot and helped us get the last few things we needed for our baby to arrive! I'll post pictures of the event soon.
2 weeks ago (about 32 weeks prego) I had a dr. appointment and the baby was at a "0 station" which I guess, according to what the dr. said, is a little soon to be at that station but of no huge concern.
Then today I had a dr's appt again (almost 34 weeks) and now I'm at a 1 and 75 % effaced. The dr. wanted to make sure we took all the precautions we could and sent me over to Labor and Delivery to get monitored and get a few others things done to make sure the baby didn't come too early and if she does to do everything to aid developed lungs etc. So, now I'd down for the day (as per dr's orders) and tomorrow i'll to at the L & D again to be monitored again. (yes, on Thanksgiving Day) but of course our baby is much more important that stuffing our faces:) But, if everything goes well I won't have to stay overnight and we won't miss dinner with the Beardall's. Anyway, I won't go into anymore detail than that but I'm just glad I have such a good group of doctors that don't take things lightly and take the action that's needed to help us have the best chances of having a healthy and happy baby girl! We are so excited to meet her and hold her and love her! It's all becoming so realistic, more now, than ever!
Anyway, I'll keep you all posted! especially if I continue this journey of "staying down" :)
Much love friend-sters!

*** HELLO BLOG READERS!
THIS BLOG BELOW IS WRITTEN BY A GIRL THAT DOESN'T EVEN KNOW ME. I KNOW HER HUSBAND FROM MY PARENTS WARD GROWING UP AND I LOVE READING HER BLOG! I DECIDED TO COPY/PASTE HER BLOG ENTRY THAT SHE MADE YESTERDAY BECAUSE I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF. IT'S LIGHT HEARTED YET HONEST AND REAL. I REALLY APPRECIATE HER MATURITY. EVER SINCE I STARTED READING HER BLOG I'VE MADE A MENTAL NOTE TO MYSELF THAT EVEN THOUGH THIS IS "MY BLOG" I NEED TO BE CAREFUL AND MINDFUL OF MY READERS. THIS POST JUST CLARIFIED IT THAT MUCH MORE FOR ME. I NEED TO REPRESENT WHAT I BELIEVE AND REMEMBER WHO I AM. I NEED TO NOT COMPLAIN AND BE GRATEFUL BUT FIND HUMOR IN THE CRAZINESS OF LIFE. I NEED TO REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A JOURNAL. "STUFF" THAT I WOULD WRITE IN MY JOURNAL BELONGS IN A NOTEBOOK... NEXT TO MY BED. I'M NOT PERFECT BUT I CAN TRY AND BE A BETTER WOMAN AND REMEMBER TO BE TASTEFUL AND MATURE WHILE REPRESENTING MYSELF AND MY FAMILY WHILE BEING OURSELVES! A LEVEL THAT MAY BE HARD TO FIND BUT IT'S DO-ABLE.
I JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS. IT'S A GOOD REFRESHER :)

Just some thoughts..
about being aware, even online.
(Disclaimer: these thoughts are simply mine, take 'em or leave 'em)
I'm all about keepin' the blog happy and positive (mixed with some sarcasm and chuckle worthy stories here and there). I do this because of a simple fact: even though it's my blog, that doesn't mean that only I read it. I know that there are a lot of people who are nice enough to come read my posts and who care about what's going on in my life. This blog is an outlet for me, and I am so grateful for it -- But, keeping an un-private blog is like being in a big room, talking to all your friends. What you write can be seen and read by everyone as if you are speaking to them face to face. If you're not careful, feelings could get hurt or people could get the wrong idea. This might make bloggers feel 'restricted' in what they would like to write, but for me, I don't mind these 'restrictions' at all. It's just a sign of the times. I truly feel that online communication has just as many social rules that face to face communication has. We should be Christlike, kind, and loving with what we write just as we would be if we were talking to a girlfriend over some hot chocolate and donuts...(I'm kind of craving a donut right now). Does this mean that you can't express yourself on the blog? No, of course not (I mean, look at what I'm doing right now! ha). But I do believe that bloggers need to be aware of who might be reading their blog. I haven't been perfect at this by any means, but I want to become better.
I have been thinking about this a lot over the last six months (it started after I wrote a 14 pg. blogging research paper last April) and especially over the last month because I have been holding back from blog-venting. Venting is good, but sometimes it's not great. The past month has been the most physically difficult time of my life. I could write post, after post, after post, about how I can't sleep, can't walk, can't run, etc, etc, ... but I won't (well, I will in my personal journal, but not online). Why? The answer is easy..
I have several sweet, beautiful, and wonderful friends who read this blog who cannot conceive at this time, even though they want to more than anything in the world. I don't even have the slightest clue of the pain and heartache that they are going through, but I want to be sensitive and aware of them by not writing post after post about how incredibly hard being pregnant can be, when those who are going through fertility issues would give their right leg to have a sleepless night because their baby keeps kicking them in the ribs.
I am not ashamed of my excitement for the arrival of my sweet baby. It is a time of joy, love, excitement, and gratitude -- and those are the things I like to focus on, because hey, they are the most important things to think about anyways, right?
Well that's all for today from this lady. I'll do some sort of update after my homework gets done. Huzzah for school.
Jena out.

September Changes!
7:33 PM
Oh how I've loved the changed September has brought to us!
Our crazy life couldn't be more fun and I wouldn't change a thing about it!
After a lot of hard work in our home studio and in the Record Lab, Tyler has finished the Common Ground Album!! He actually finished it in an amazing amount of time. For those of you who don't know, Tyler has written and produced the album all on his own. He wrote everything from the drums down to the lyrics and did all the vocal tracks. Then, the finishing touches were done with the help of Cliff in the Record Lab with the mixing and mastering. We are stoked with the way it turned out! We're looking to release the album sometime next month! Replication will begin soon! I'll keep you updated.
I quit my job which has been the BEST thing for me since sliced bread. That's a whole other ball of wax.. lets just say I will never refer anybody to my last office I worked in. It's an atmosphere I'm very happy to be out of. It was a hard decision to make, considering the job market right now but, when weighting the pros and cons and a lot of praying, we both agreed there was nothing left for me there that would be of enough benefit to keep working there. But, I learned a lot. Like, patients, how to NOT treat people, be grateful for what I have and I'm realizing even more how blessed I am to have a wonderful husband help me through the hard days and support me and insure my happiness. I feel like a new person! an un-employed new person .. but that's besides the fact :) YAY!
TECHNICALLY ...
I'm not un-employed.. I'm the head chef (or only chef)/ cook up at a camp in Soda Springs, ID that my father-in-law runs during the fall months. Basically, I cook and they eat it and like it and I get tips at the end of the week. Then the next week we get a new group of hunters. Tyler is one of the guides along with his dad and a couple others. One night I got to go out with Tyler and help out. It felt so good to hike a bit and be on the ranch. It's beautiful! Whenever we go outdoors and do stuff like this that we love, it makes us even more excited to share these things we love with our kids someday! It's been fun to have this time together.
and guess what!? it gets better. My parentals came up to visit and spend sometime with me! It was good to see them! My dad went out hunting with the guides that next morning and me and my mom went around town looking at stuff. My parents stayed at the Ender's Hotel.. Its haunted.. really though.... I didn't know this till after my parent had booked the room. I dropped the news on them when they were on their way up here because we heard from somebody in town. I asked the lady at the front desk if it really was and she was so dry about it.. her answer was "oh yeah.. its haunted." straight faced and all. Ty and I went with them to check in and it is a museum on the 2 floor .. lets just say .. it's pretty creepy.. and we looked it up online and their are articles all over talking about different ghost events that occurred. I really felt bad for my mom. It was freaky.. I hate stuff like that. eee..
Anyway, we watched the geyser (its cool) and then later, while the guys were out for the night hunt, my mom and I drove around the ranch. We saw 2 bucks and lots of doe's .. it was fun and really pretty and relaxing.. but I got us lost and took us down the wrong road and we ended us on the wrong side and let just say I have no sense of direction out here.. The mountains are set up different :) that's my excuse.
But! I'm so glad they came up and I think they were too :) I love my mom and dad!
Tyler and I went to the gun range one afternoon to site in some guns. While I was there I made this little creation :) w/ shells that were laying around.
(crafty right?? haha)
So, we've had 2 weeks in ID so far and 1 more week to go till we have a two week break and then come back up for another two weeks. It's been fun to have a change and have the opportunity to earn little extra money. But, I'm excited to get home and work on baby stuff, even though there is still a lot of time till the baby comes. I guess I'm already in nesting mode.
Next post I'll update you on all the projects we've been working on!
peace.
